Begin your exploration in St. Moritz, often called the Top of the World. Visit the Upper Engadine village of Zuoz, and board the Bernina Express for one of the most scenic rail journeys in Europe. Then, travel to the picturesque town of Como to experience la dolce vita in Italy. Cruise on lovely Lake Como, the deepest lake in Italy, and journey to cosmopolitan Milan. Visit its Duomo, La Scala Opera House and Santa Maria delle Grazie to view da Vinci’s The Last Supper. Sail to the Borromean Islands and admire their 16th-century villa, baroque palace and gardens, and picturesque fishing village.

Day 1: Depart your gateway city for Zurich.

Day 2: Upon arrival, transfer to St. Moritz and the Hotel Schweizerhof. Tonight, join fellow travelers for a welcome reception and dinner at the hotel. D

Day 3: Travel to Zuoz, a picturesque Upper Engadine village. Embark on a walking tour showcasing its beautiful cobblestone main square, adorned with brightly colored flowers and bubbling fountains, as well as winding streets lined with brightly painted buildings, many built in the 13th century. The rest of the day in St. Moritz is at your leisure. B,D

Day 4: Board the Bernina Express and enjoy a two-hour scenic journey tracing one of Europe’s most impressively engineered rail routes. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is a truly memorable experience. B

Day 5: Depart St. Moritz for Como. Travel by motor coach alongside Lake Como to Menaggio, situated on the western shore. Embark on a scenic cruise on Italy’s deepest lake from Menaggio to Bellagio and Como. Sample regional specialties during lunch in Bellagio. Upon arrival in Como, check in at the Hotel Barchetta Excelsior. B,L,D

Day 6: Go on a walking tour of the walled Old Town featuring the Baradello Tower, Tempio Voltiano shrine and the impressive Duomo in the Piazza Cavour with its Gothic façade and Renaissance dome. The afternoon is free to pursue on your own. B

Day 7: In Italy's most fashionable city, visit Santa Maria Delle Grazie and its rectory to see da Vinci’s magnificent The Last Supper. Tour the museum at La Scala, Italy’s premier opera house, and the 14th-century Duomo, a Gothic masterpiece ornamented by 2,244 marble saints and nearly 100 gargoyles. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant in Milan and then set out to discover your own corner of Milan. B,L

Day 8: Journey to Stresa for a short walking tour before embarking on a cruise on Lake Maggiore. First, stop at Isola Madre and its 16th-century villa. Then, sail to the rustic fishing village on Isola dei Pescatori. Conclude on Isola Bella to explore its baroque palace and gardens. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant on the islands. Then, tonight attend a farewell reception and dinner. B,L,D

Day 9: After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the return to your gateway city. B
